About Me

My photo
Tisa Batchelder
My adventures in daily collagery began with an inquiry: What happens if I make a collage each day for 100 days? Where will the journey lead? Soon I began to see this journey as an exploration of the Self in bits, pieces, and layers. After 100 days I decided to extend the project for a year. When the year was through I began to wind down, doing collages weekly, bi-weekly, once in awhile. Most of these collages are approximately 6x6 inches or 5x5 inches. All are made with paper, glue stick, and scissors, with the occasional addition of natural materials. Most of the magazines I used were found or donated. I chose to keep the project on a kindergarten level, cutting, tearing, and pasting. It is my hope that people will see the depth of beauty and discovery that can emerge from a simple process and be inspired to begin their own creative journey. The captions that contain the word Hello are part of the series 31 Hellos from the Divine Feminine. Peruse the artwork, reflect on what the images may mean to you, and enjoy the ride.
